Our History

The prestigious path and the pleasant past of MD 324 AB is a matter of pride to every one of us. Way back in the year 1956, when Lions sowed its seed in India at Delhi and Mumbai, India was placed in District 304. This District 304 comprised of the countries India, Sri Lanka and Burma.

We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned.

Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.

During the year 1959-60, District 304 was bifurcated into 4 districts, called as 304N (North), 304S (South), 304 E (East) and 304 W (West). Then 304S consist of Tamilnadu, Union Territory of Pondicherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhrapradesh and the country of Sri Lanka.

In the year 1965-66, 304 S was further bifurcated as 304 S1 (Tamilnadu, Union Territory of Pondicherry, Kerala), 304 S2 (Andhrapradesh, Karnataka).

1969-70 witnessed Kerala as a separate Lions District S3.

In the year 1972-73, 304 S1 was bifurcated as 324 A (Northern Tamilnadu) 324 B (west and southern Tamilnadu). It was the emergence of Multiple District 324 consisting the states of Tamilnadu, Union Territory of Pondicherry, Kerala, Karanataka, Andhra and the UT of Goa, Daman, Dieu, Dadra & Nagar.

The following dignitaries adorned the position of International Directorship in the then MD 324.

It was in the period Dec 2008, 324 MD was divided into 4 MD such as 324AB, 324C, 324D & 324E at the Special MD Convention at Trivandrum.

During the year 2014, the Multiple District MD324 AB again was restructured and henceforth it has been named as MD324.

During 2017 Convention, Lion R.Sampath, PDG of District 324 A5 was Endorsed as International Director from our Multiple.
During 2017 Convention, Lion T.S. Vijayakumar , DG of District 324 B5 was elected as Multiple Council Chairman for the year 2017-18

Currently MD 324 consists of 12 Districts such as A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, B1, B2, B3, B4 and B5.
